States at the Core is a small crew of organizers working with local folks across the country. Our mission is pretty simple. Help everyday people fight authoritarianism; help people fight for their freedoms. You probably know us through our training programs, but this is only a small part of what we do. Everything we offer - whether training or supporting people on the ground - is free.
We raise funds for this tremendous work from foundations and generous individual donors. We do as much as we can on a small budget. Compared to authoritarian groups, our resources are minuscule. It is a testament to the power of neighborliness and the community organizing you’ve been a part of that we, collectively, are putting up a valiant fight against advancing authoritarianism.
